Wool

BE GUIDED BY ONE GOLDEN RULE -
AN ETHOS WE SHOULD ALL EMBRACE -
THE WORLD IS LIKE A BALL OF WOOL.
INDULGE THIS THOUGHT AND THINGS FALL INTO PLACE.
THE FIRST THING THAT YOU DO WITH WOOL,
IS WASH OUT ALL THE GREASE.
PICK OUT THE BURRS AND PARASITES,
FROM DEEP WITHIN THE FLEECE.
UNTIE THE KNOTS AND TANGLES WHICH CAUSE IT TO FEEL ROUGH.
THEN INTEGRATE THEM SEAMLESSLY WITH BITS OF FUR AND FLUFF.
MAKE ONE ENORMOUS BALL OF WOOL -
THAT’S HOW THE WORLD SHOULD BE.
FEEL IT, TOUCH IT, HOLD IT – PASS IT ON AND YOU WILL SEE -
FEEL IT, TOUCH IT, HOLD IT – PASS IT ON, YOU MIGHT AGREE -
EVERY LIVING PERSON ON THIS PLANET IS CONNECTED.
AND THIS PHILOSOPHY, THAT WE ARE ONE, MUST BE PROTECTED!
PASS THE WOOL ALONG…
EVERY PERSON, PASS IT ON.

Kid

The dictionary defines a ‘kid’ as a young goat -
Or leather made from goat’s skin then used for gloves, shoes or a coat.
‘To kid’ is to deceive or fool in a fun way.
To tease a person playfully – the dictionary does say.
What is a kid? A child. A minor – ripe and green.
A kid is anywhere from one year old to seventeen. Agreed?
What is a kid? An infant. A premature adult.
When babies graduate, the result’s a special breed.

KIDS (plural)

The kid is just like any other adult you can see, in form.
But shorter, smaller, cuter, on the whole that is the norm.
A kid eats lollies, junk, sweets.
Is hungry immediately after it eats.
Consumes more food than it excretes.
Will search for more when supply depletes,
From any supplier a hungry kid meets.
But that’s okay.
Kids will always do things a kids way.
The kid, as you may know, is quite resilient at heart.
But weaker, smaller, softer, than it’s adult counterpart.
A kid surrounds itself in mess.
Is happiest living to excess.
Will never openly confess,
When it’s experiencing stress.
Would rather wait and let you guess.
But that’s okay.
Kids will always do things a kids way.
They are what they are,
Do what they do,
Say what they say.
That’s just kids.
And that’s okay.
Kids will always do things a kids way.
